About Hagop Ipdjian
I help teams bring structure to complex work. My approach draws on years managing business clients in London, humanitarian coordination in Artsakh and programme leadership in Armenia.
MY PATH
From Cyprus and London to Armenia
I grew up in Cyprus and moved to the UK to study law at Kingston University. I then spent nine years working with business clients in London across accounting, audit, compliance, legal operations and corporate restructuring services. That environment taught me the value of clear deadlines, accurate records and dependable communication when several people are responsible for a client's work.
In 2020 I moved to Artsakh. In senior advisory and humanitarian coordination roles, I worked with colleagues and partners on planning, information and delivery under extraordinary constraints. It reinforced something I had learned in London: when the work is complex, people need to know what matters, who is responsible and what happens next.
Today I am Programmes Director at the Tufenkian Foundation, involved in programme delivery, partnerships, budgets, procurement and reporting. I am based in Yerevan and work in English and Armenian with teams in Armenia and remotely elsewhere.
HOW I WORK
Build around the work people actually do
I start by listening to the people doing the job and tracing a real example from beginning to end. We make responsibilities and handovers visible, then choose the smallest practical change that will make the process easier to manage. That may be a documented workflow, a client onboarding routine, a tracker or a reporting structure. I want the result to make sense to the team that will use it every day.
For a defined first step, see the Operations Audit. You can also browse selected work and read my Diaspora Office profile for more of my public-service background.
RECENT WORK
From understanding the process to building the tool
Alongside workflow design and programme work, I build focused browser tools for everyday operations. Recent projects include a shared operations CRM, a private invoicing workspace for my own consultancy and an import-based email review and reporting console.
The common thread is practical control: a clear next action, a record of decisions and an output someone can check and use. I scope integrations separately and keep human review where a message, invoice or important decision needs it.
A company behind the next stage of the work
I also provide consultancy and custom operational systems through HIOPS UK LIMITED, incorporated in England and Wales on 7 October 2026. My personal experience and the projects shown here include work completed before the company was formed.
I remain based in Yerevan. The company’s registered office is in London; the supplier and delivery arrangements for your engagement are set out in your proposal or contract.
